Complete Home Renovation in East Wittering, West Sussex

Sometimes, the ideal home doesn’t simply appear—you have to create it yourself.

Not long after my mother passed, my father made the decision to return to the UK, wanting to be closer to me and my sister. He had a clear idea of where he wanted to settle, but finding the perfect house proved to be a challenge. Eventually, he came across one that was close enough. The location was ideal, the size was just right, and the garden was beautiful. However, the layout didn’t quite suit his needs.

That’s when I became involved. Together, we set about reimagining the space. We redesigned the ground floor, introducing a spacious office and a double garage. The entire layout of the house needed to be rethought. Alongside this, we also worked on the aesthetic vision, crafting a style that would suit my father’s tastes—an area that had always been my mother’s domain, as she was the one with a natural eye for design.

My father knew he wanted a front façade that reflected the beach vibes of the surrounding area. We installed a modern, contemporary kitchen with a large island designed for socializing, and opened up the kitchen to the living room to create a seamless flow of natural light between the spaces. Upstairs, the four bedrooms were completely transformed, and both bathrooms were given a fresh, rejuvenating makeover. Creating a perfect place to retreat near the ocean.

The overall inspiration for the design came from the colours, textures, and tones of thestones, sand and waves of nearby West and East Wittering, which served as the foundation for the concept. This thoughtful backdrop was perfect for showcasing the incredible art collection my parents had built together over the years.

Every home and family carries a story, and this one will continue to tell its own for many years to come.
